Road Network
The road network and environment around the inner-city TUM campus was modeled on the basis of the orthophotos from the Bavarian State Mapping Agency using the editor RoadRunner.
The exported OpenDRIVE dataset is stored in the repository and can be downloaded by running:
git clone --depth 1 git@gitlab.lrz.de:tum-gis/tum2twin-datasets.git
cd tum2twin-datasets/opendrive/lod3_road_models
Furthermore, the OpenDRIVE dataset was converted to CityGML 2.0 and 3.0 using the tool r:trån.
The obtained CityGML representations are available in this repository in the folder citygml/road-network-datasets
.
The Road2CityGML3 guideline describes the new concepts of the revised CityGML 3.0 Transportation module in detail.
The road network was modeled in 2D and therefore has a constant absolute height. Since the terrain around the TUM is fairly flat, this is sufficient for some applications, but not for all.
