Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS) Image-based Scan

Images of the TUM Downtown campus were captured from a DJI Matrice 350 RTK UAS equipped with the camera integrated in the Zenmuse L2 laser scanner. The data has been collected in nadir mode using automatic flight missions at an altitude of 75 m agl with a flight speed of 5 m/s and timed interval shots every 1 s. Additional acquisitions were performed in manually operated flights in oblique view to capture the facades of the inner and outer campus area. For the laser scans acquried during the same campaign see UAS Laser Scanning. The source images are available here UAS photographs. Photogrammetric reconstruction was performed with Pix4Dmatic (version 1.58.1), producing a point cloud and orthophoto (based on a derived digital object model).

The data are openly available here with a detailed documentation of data acquisition and processing.
